Eight Women Photographers ~ Eight Different Points of View

September 21, 2016

“Beauty can be seen in all things, seeing and composing the beauty is what separates the snapshot from the photograph.” Matt Hardy

The excitement is building for Through The Lens“, an invitational photography show being held at Riverside Arts Center in Ypsilanti, Michigan, October 7-29, 2016. This three-week exhibit will feature the artwork of eight talented and accomplished women photographers from Michigan and Ohio, each with her own unique style, vision and point of view.  The event was conceived, organized and is being curated by fine art, dance and landscape photographer Sylvia Ford of Sylvia Ford Photography and Ford Art Design.  Click HERE to visit the show’s official Facebook page.

I am so excited to announce that I, Linda Sorensen of MPL Photography LLC, am one of the invited artists.  I am so proud and thankful for this opportunity; and I am especially honored to be sharing the stage with these amazing women!

Our show opens Friday, October 7, 2016, with a reception from 5-7 p.m where you can meet and greet the women behind the cameras.  Each of us will be showing 8-10 framed images, including those featured on the below collages.

Greetings — I am the editor of the Huron Hub, an internet news website that serves Huron Township/New Boston; not far from Ypsilanti. New Boston resident Georgette Heron-Willoughby will be one of the artists featuring her work at this show, and I am writing an article with information about the event for my readers. Do you mind if I use some of the information you provided here, in my article? I will make sure to link to this article page when I attribute the information, if you give me permission. Thank you, and have a great day!
