Photo-of-the-Day / 2012-05-09 / Beach Bride

May 9, 2012

When I think of a beach bride, this is the image that comes to my mind.

It is one of my favorites  from  the  recent beach wedding I photographed in Florida.

Using the harsh afternoon sunlight is not the typical first choice of most photographers, especially without any type of diffuser, but sometimes going against the norm can give you quite a bold and unexpectedly satisfying result.

I’m satisfied but I’m also curious – what do you think about this Beach Bride?

Dramatic…if the bridal party could shed their sunglasses for the pictures without
Squinting it might have been good.

  2. The sunglasses were actually a desired prop for some of the photos, including this one. They eventually were able to shed the sunglasses after the ceremony when the sun began to set.

  3. Love this one, Linda. It looks like a puzzle.
