Photo-of-the-Day / 2012-04-21 / A “Model” Bride & Groom
Today’s photo-of-the-day is really a photo from today. I am attending a Wedding Photography and Business Techniques workshop this weekend and today, a church was rented and models hired to portray a “bride and groom”. My classmates were the “bridal party” and we experimented with various lighting situations and poses. I think what I found most interesting learn was that there is no cut and dried answer to lighting. Quite simply — it all depends.
I further learned that if I want to command the Big Bucks as a professional wedding photographer, I need to invest some serious money into upgrading my equipment and “lighting” sources. I guess to old saying holds true – you have to spend money to make money.
However, since I have to have money to be able to spend money before I can actually make money, I will continue to market myself as an economical and affordable professional. And then maybe by the time I retire I’ll be in a position to take the next big step.
I have posted a few more photos from today’s class, which have benefited from a little Adobe Lightroom editing, in My Photo Galleries and imagine I will post more after tomorrows class.
Let me know what you think by posting a comment, “liking” or “sharing”. Thanks.
